Born in Accra, Ghana, Brian was exposed to music at a very early age and became a well-trained musician by the age of 14 when he began his entertainment career. He started out as a club-date pianist in hotel restaurants and piano bars. His influences include the great Oscar Peterson, Thelonious Monk and Herbie Hancock to name a few.
With his talents, Brian travelled throughout West Africa along the Ivory Coast where he developed his Jazz-style piano to become a versatile, sought-after musician accompanying artists of different styles from Highlife music, Reggae, Calypso, Afro-Beat, to World-music in general.
Brian migrated to Montreal, Canada in 1997 where he played with many artists and was a key participant in many local festivals and entertainment programs such as Festival Nuits D’Afriques; Montreal Jazz Festival; Vues D’Afriques - the annual Montreal Calypso and Soca Competition. In 2000, Brian decided to expand his talent and has since become a skillful sound Engineer and Producer with over 25 albums under his belt. He lives/sleeps/breathes music and when he is not in the studio, you’ll find Brian in the kitchen, with his authentic African flavours and spices conjuring up grub.
Brian released his very own CD in June of 2017
